439057ec3b LoongArch: Add writecombine support for drm
LoongArch maintains cache coherency in hardware, but its WUC attribute
(Weak-ordered UnCached, which is similar to WC) is out of the scope of
cache coherency machanism. This means WUC can only used for write-only
memory regions.

In the ttm_bo_move_sync_cleanup() case it seems we only really care

This change adds the dma_resv_usage enum and allows us to specify why a

6a9b028994 drm/ttm: move the LRU into resource handling v4
This way we finally fix the problem that new resource are
not immediately evict-able after allocation.

That has caused numerous problems including OOM on GDS handling
and not being able to use TTM as general resource manager.

v2: stop assuming in ttm_resource_fini that res->bo is still valid.
v3: cleanup kerneldoc, add more lockdep annotation
v4: consistently use res->num_pages

The res is initialized here only if there's no errors so passing it to

Lucas De Marchi
7938f42181 dma-buf-map: Rename to iosys-map
Rename struct dma_buf_map to struct iosys_map and corresponding APIs.
Over time dma-buf-map grew up to more functionality than the one used by
dma-buf: in fact it's just a shim layer to abstract system memory, that
can be accessed via regular load and store, from IO memory that needs to
be acessed via arch helpers.

The idea is to extend this API so it can fulfill other needs, internal
to a single driver. Example: in the i915 driver it's desired to share
the implementation for integrated graphics, which uses mostly system
memory, with discrete graphics, which may need to access IO memory.

The conversion was mostly done with the following semantic patch:

	@r1@
	@@
	- struct dma_buf_map
	+ struct iosys_map

	@r2@
	@@
	(
	- DMA_BUF_MAP_INIT_VADDR
	+ IOSYS_MAP_INIT_VADDR
	|
	- dma_buf_map_set_vaddr
	+ iosys_map_set_vaddr
	|
	- dma_buf_map_set_vaddr_iomem
	+ iosys_map_set_vaddr_iomem
	|
	- dma_buf_map_is_equal
	+ iosys_map_is_equal
	|
	- dma_buf_map_is_null
	+ iosys_map_is_null
	|
	- dma_buf_map_is_set
	+ iosys_map_is_set
	|
	- dma_buf_map_clear
	+ iosys_map_clear
	|
	- dma_buf_map_memcpy_to
	+ iosys_map_memcpy_to
	|
	- dma_buf_map_incr
	+ iosys_map_incr
	)

	@@
	@@
	- #include <linux/dma-buf-map.h>
	+ #include <linux/iosys-map.h>

Then some files had their includes adjusted and some comments were
update to remove mentions to dma-buf-map.

Since this is not specific to dma-buf anymore, move the documentation to
the "Bus-Independent Device Accesses" section.

v2:
  - Squash patches

v3:
  - Fix wrong removal of dma-buf.h from MAINTAINERS
  - Move documentation from dma-buf.rst to device-io.rst

v4:
  - Change documentation title and level

fda8d552c9 drm/ttm: add a weak BO reference to the resource v3
Keep track for which BO a resource was allocated.
This is necessary to move the LRU handling into the resources.

A bit problematic is i915 since it tries to use the resource
interface without a BO which is illegal from the conceptional
point of view.

v2: Document that this is a weak reference and add a workaround for i915
v3: further document that this is protected by ttm_device::lru_lock and

016017a195 drm/ttm: fix compilation on ARCH=um
Even if it's probably not really useful, it can get selected
by e.g. randconfig builds, and then failing to compile is an
annoyance. Unfortunately, it's hard to fix in Kconfig, since
DRM_TTM is selected by many things that don't really depend
on any specific architecture, and just depend on PCI (which
is indeed now available in ARCH=um via simulation/emulation).

Fix this in the code instead by just ifdef'ing the relevant
two lines that depend on "real X86".

get_user_pages_fast() considers any page that passed pmd_huge() as
usable:

	if (unlikely(pmd_trans_huge(pmd) || pmd_huge(pmd) ||
		     pmd_devmap(pmd))) {

And vmf_insert_pfn_pmd_prot() unconditionally sets

	entry = pmd_mkhuge(pfn_t_pmd(pfn, prot));

eg on x86 the page will be _PAGE_PRESENT | PAGE_PSE.

As such gup_huge_pmd() will try to deref a struct page:

	head = try_grab_compound_head(pmd_page(orig), refs, flags);

and thus crash.

Thomas further notices that the drivers are not expecting the struct page
to be used by anything - in particular the refcount incr above will cause
them to malfunction.

Thus everything about this is not able to fully work correctly considering
GUP_fast. Delete it entirely. It can return someday along with a proper
PMD/PUD_SPECIAL bit in the page table itself to gate GUP_fast.
