01cf893bf0 net: intel: i40e/igc: Remove setting Autoneg in EEE capabilities
Energy Efficient Ethernet should always be negotiated with the link
peer. Don't include SUPPORTED_Autoneg in the results of get_eee() for
supported, advertised or lp_advertised, since it is
assumed. Additionally, ethtool(1) ignores the set bit, and no other
driver sets this.

9356b6db9d net: ethernet: ixgbe: Convert EEE to use linkmodes
Convert the tables to make use of ETHTOOL link mode bits, rather than
the old u32 SUPPORTED speeds. Make use of the linkmode helps to set
bits and compare linkmodes. As a result, the _u32 members of keee are
no longer used, a step towards removing them.

26311cd112 net: stmmac: dwmac-qcom-ethqos: Update link clock rate only for RGMII
Updating link clock rate for different speeds is only needed when
using RGMII, as that mode requires changing clock speed when the link
speed changes. Let's restrict updating the link clock speed in
ethqos_update_link_clk() to just RGMII. Other modes such as SGMII
only need to enable the link clock (which is already done in probe).

d0dc1e4210 net: stmmac: mmc_core: Drop interrupt registers from stats
The MMC IPC interrupt status and interrupt mask registers are
of little use as Ethernet statistics, but incrementing counters
based on the current interrupt and interrupt mask registers
makes them actively misleading.

For example, if the interrupt mask is set to 0x08420842,
the current code will increment by that amount each iteration,
leading to the following sequence of nonsense:

mmc_rx_ipc_intr_mask: 969816526
mmc_rx_ipc_intr_mask: 1108361744

These registers have been included in the Ethernet statistics
since the first version of MMC back in 2011 (commit 1c901a46d5).
That commit also mentions the MMC interrupts as
"something to add later (if actually useful)".

If the registers are actually useful, they should probably
be part of the Ethernet register dump instead of statistics,
but for now, drop the counters for mmc_rx_ipc_intr and
mmc_rx_ipc_intr_mask completely.

2322467a0f net: ethernet: adi: adin1110: Reduce the MDIO_TRDONE poll interval
In order to do a clause 22 access to the PHY registers of the ADIN1110,
we have to write the MDIO frame to the ADIN1110_MDIOACC register, and
then poll the MDIO_TRDONE bit (for a 1) in the same register. The
device will set this bit to 1 once the internal MDIO transaction is
done. In practice, this bit takes ~50 - 60 us to be set.

The first attempt to poll the bit is right after the ADIN1110_MDIOACC
register is written, so it will always be read as 0. The next check will
only be done after 10 ms, which will result in the MDIO transactions
taking a long time to complete. Reduce this polling interval to 100 us.
Since this interval is short enough, switch the poll function to
readx_poll_timeout_atomic() instead.

a818bd1253 net: stmmac: dwmac-qcom-ethqos: Add support for 2.5G SGMII
Serdes phy needs to operate at 2500 mode for 2.5G speed and 1000
mode for 1G/100M/10M speed.
Added changes to configure serdes phy and mac based on link speed.
Changing serdes phy speed involves multiple register writes for
serdes block. To avoid redundant write operations only update serdes
phy when new speed is different.
For 2500 speed MAC PCS autoneg needs to disabled. Added changes to
disable MAC PCS autoneg if ANE parameter is not set.

93e90104bd bnxt_en: Create and setup the additional VNIC for adding ntuple filters
Allocate and setup the additional VNIC for ntuple filters if this
new method is supported by the firmware.  Even though this VNIC is
only used for ntuple filters with direct ring destinations, we still
setup the RSS hash to be identical to the default VNIC so that each
RX packet will have the correct hash in the RX completion.  This
VNIC is always at VNIC index BNXT_VNIC_NTUPLE.

532c034e4b bnxt_en: Provision for an additional VNIC for ntuple filters
On newer chips that support the ring table index method for
ntuple filters, the current scheme of using the same VNIC for
both RSS and ntuple filters will not work in all cases.  An
ntuple filter can only be directed to a destination ring if
that destination ring is also in the RSS indirection table.

To support ntuple filters with any arbitratry RSS indirection
table that may only include a subset of the rings, we need to
use a separate VNIC for ntuple filters.

This patch provisions the additional VNIC.  The next patch will
allocate additional VNIC from firmware and set it up.

9294299867 bnxt_en: Check additional resources in bnxt_check_rings()
bnxt_check_rings() is called to check if we have enough resource
assets to satisfy the new number of ethtool channels.  If the asset
test fails, the ethtool operation will fail gracefully.  Otherwise
we will proceed and commit to use the new number of channels.  If it
fails to allocate any resources, the chip will fail to come up.

For completeness, check all possible resources before committing to
the new settings.  Add the missing ring group and RSS context asset
tests in bnxt_check_rings().

438ba39b25 bnxt_en: Improve RSS context reservation infrastructure
Add RSS context fields to struct bnxt_hw_rings and struct bnxt_hw_resc.
With these, we can now specific the exact number of RSS contexts to
reserve and store the reserved value.  The original code relies on
other resources to infer the number of RSS contexts to reserve and the
reserved value is not stored.  This improved infrastructure will make
the RSS context accounting more complete and is needed by later
patches.

The current functions to reserve hardware rings pass in 6 different ring
or resource types as parameters.  Add a structure bnxt_hw_rings to
consolidate all these parameters and pass the structure pointer instead
to these functions.  Add 2 related helper functions also.  This makes
the code cleaner and makes it easier to add new resources to be
reserved.

603ead9658 net: sparx5: Add spinlock for frame transmission from CPU
Both registers used when doing manual injection or fdma injection are
shared between all the net devices of the switch. It was noticed that
when having two process which each of them trying to inject frames on
different ethernet ports, that the HW started to behave strange, by
sending out more frames then expected. When doing fdma injection it is
required to set the frame in the DCB and then make sure that the next
pointer of the last DCB is invalid. But because there is no locks for
this, then easily this pointer between the DCB can be broken and then it
would create a loop of DCBs. And that means that the HW will
continuously transmit these frames in a loop. Until the SW will break
this loop.
Therefore to fix this issue, add a spin lock for when accessing the
registers for manual or fdma injection.

The reason seems to be the refactoring of the EST code which set the wrong
EST offset for the dwmac 5.10. After fixing this it works as before:

ee2b4cf8b2 net: bcmgenet: Pass "main" clock down to the MDIO driver
GENET has historically had to create a MDIO platform device for its
controller and pass some auxiliary data to it, like a MDIO completion
callback. Now we also pass the "main" clock to allow for the MDIO bus

3b1ae9b71c octeontx2-af: Consider the action set by PF
AF reserves MCAM entries for each PF, VF present in the
system and populates the entry with DMAC and action with
default RSS so that basic packet I/O works. Since PF/VF is
not aware of the RSS action installed by AF, AF only fixup
the actions of the rules installed by PF/VF with corresponding
default RSS action. This worked well for rules installed by
PF/VF for features like RX VLAN offload and DMAC filters but
rules involving action like drop/forward to queue are also
getting modified by AF. Hence fix it by setting the default
RSS action only if requested by PF/VF.

8306ee08c0 tg3: copy only needed fields from userspace-provided EEE data
The current code overwrites fields in tp->eee with unchecked data from
edata, e.g. the bitmap with supported modes. ethtool properly returns
the received data from get_eee() call, but we have no guarantee that
other users of the ioctl set_eee() interface behave properly too.
Therefore copy only fields which are actually needed.

40b9385dd8 enic: Avoid false positive under FORTIFY_SOURCE
FORTIFY_SOURCE has been ignoring 0-sized destinations while the kernel
code base has been converted to flexible arrays. In order to enforce
the 0-sized destinations (e.g. with __counted_by), the remaining 0-sized
destinations need to be handled. Unfortunately, struct vic_provinfo
resists full conversion, as it contains a flexible array of flexible
arrays, which is only possible with the 0-sized fake flexible array.

Use unsafe_memcpy() to avoid future false positives under
CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE.

2dac60e062 pds_core: delete VF dev on reset
When the VF is hit with a reset, remove the aux device in
the prepare for reset and try to restore it after the reset.
The userland mechanics will need to recover and rebuild whatever
uses the device afterwards.

97dde84026 net: stmmac: Fix incorrect dereference in interrupt handlers
If 'dev' or 'data' is NULL, the 'priv' variable has an incorrect address
when dereferencing calling netdev_err().

Since we get as 'dev_id' or 'data' what was passed as the 'dev' argument
to request_irq() during interrupt initialization (that is, the net_device
and rx/tx queue pointers initialized at the time of the call) and since
there are usually no checks for the 'dev_id' argument in such handlers
in other drivers, remove these checks from the handlers in stmmac driver.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

f09cbb6c94 i40e: Remove VEB recursion
The VEB (virtual embedded switch) as a switch element can be
connected according datasheet though its uplink to:
- Physical port
- Port Virtualizer (not used directly by i40e driver but can
  be present in MFP mode where the physical port is shared
  between PFs)
- No uplink (aka floating VEB)

But VEB uplink cannot be connected to another VEB and any attempt
to do so results in:

"i40e 0000:02:00.0: couldn't add VEB, err -EIO aq_err I40E_AQ_RC_ENOENT"

that indicates "the uplink SEID does not point to valid element".

Remove this logic from the driver code this way:

1) For debugfs only allow to build floating VEB (uplink_seid == 0)
   or main VEB (uplink_seid == mac_seid)
2) Do not recurse in i40e_veb_link_event() as no VEB cannot have
   sub-VEBs
3) Ditto for i40e_veb_rebuild() + simplify the function as we know
   that the VEB for rebuild can be only the main LAN VEB or some
   of the floating VEBs
4) In i40e_rebuild() there is no need to check veb->uplink_seid
   as the possible ones are 0 and MAC SEID
5) In i40e_vsi_release() do not take into account VEBs whose
   uplink is another VEB as this is not possible
6) Remove veb_idx field from i40e_veb as a VEB cannot have
   sub-VEBs

08cdde310e i40e: Fix broken support for floating VEBs
Although the i40e supports so-called floating VEB (VEB without
an uplink connection to external network), this support is
broken. This functionality is currently unused (except debugfs)
but it will be used by subsequent series for switchdev mode
slow-path. Fix this by following:

1) Handle correctly floating VEB (VEB with uplink_seid == 0)
   in i40e_reconstitute_veb() and look for owner VSI and
   create it only for non-floating VEBs and also set bridge
   mode only for such VEBs as the floating ones are using
   always VEB mode.
2) Handle correctly floating VEB in i40e_veb_release() and
   disallow its release when there are some VSIs. This is
   different from regular VEB that have owner VSI that is
   connected to VEB's uplink after VEB deletion by FW.
3) Fix i40e_add_veb() to handle 'vsi' that is NULL for floating
   VEBs. For floating VEB use 0 for downlink SEID and 'true'
   for 'default_port' parameters as per datasheet.
4) Fix 'add relay' command in i40e_dbg_command_write() to allow
   to create floating VEB by 'add relay 0 0' or 'add relay'
