6ed8187bb3 i40e: take into account XDP Tx queues when stopping rings
Seth reported that on his side XDP traffic can not survive a round of
down/up against i40e interface. Dmesg output was telling us that we were
not able to disable the very first XDP ring. That was due to the fact
that in i40e_vsi_stop_rings() in a pre-work that is done before calling
i40e_vsi_wait_queues_disabled(), XDP Tx queues were not taken into the
account.

To fix this, let us distinguish between Rx and Tx queue boundaries and
take into the account XDP queues for Tx side.

89a373e913 i40e: avoid double calling i40e_pf_rxq_wait()
Currently, when interface is being brought down and
i40e_vsi_stop_rings() is called, i40e_pf_rxq_wait() is called two times,
which is wrong. To showcase this scenario, simplified call stack looks
as follows:

i40e_vsi_stop_rings()
	i40e_control wait rx_q()
		i40e_control_rx_q()
		i40e_pf_rxq_wait()
	i40e_vsi_wait_queues_disabled()
		i40e_pf_rxq_wait()  // redundant call

To fix this, let us s/i40e_control_wait_rx_q/i40e_control_rx_q within
i40e_vsi_stop_rings().

c73729b64b i40e: Fix waiting for queues of all VSIs to be disabled
The function i40e_pf_wait_queues_disabled() iterates all PF's VSIs
up to 'pf->hw.func_caps.num_vsis' but this is incorrect because
the real number of VSIs can be up to 'pf->num_alloc_vsi' that
can be higher. Fix this loop.

0cbb08707c i40e: update xdp_rxq_info::frag_size for ZC enabled Rx queue
Now that i40e driver correctly sets up frag_size in xdp_rxq_info, let us
make it work for ZC multi-buffer as well. i40e_ring::rx_buf_len for ZC
is being set via xsk_pool_get_rx_frame_size() and this needs to be
propagated up to xdp_rxq_info.

a045d2f2d0 i40e: set xdp_rxq_info::frag_size
i40e support XDP multi-buffer so it is supposed to use
__xdp_rxq_info_reg() instead of xdp_rxq_info_reg() and set the
frag_size. It can not be simply converted at existing callsite because
rx_buf_len could be un-initialized, so let us register xdp_rxq_info
within i40e_configure_rx_ring(), which happen to be called with already
initialized rx_buf_len value.

Commit 5180ff1364 ("i40e: use int for i40e_status") converted 'err' to
int, so two variables to deal with return codes are not needed within
i40e_configure_rx_ring(). Remove 'ret' and use 'err' to handle status
from xdp_rxq_info registration.

371e576ff3 i40e: Restore VF MSI-X state during PCI reset
During a PCI FLR the MSI-X Enable flag in the VF PCI MSI-X capability
register will be cleared. This can lead to issues when a VF is
assigned to a VM because in these cases the VF driver receives no
indication of the PF PCI error/reset and additionally it is incapable
of restoring the cleared flag in the hypervisor configuration space
without fully reinitializing the driver interrupt functionality.

Since the VF driver is unable to easily resolve this condition on its own,
restore the VF MSI-X flag during the PF PCI reset handling.

6a15584e99 i40e: fix use-after-free in i40e_aqc_add_filters()
Commit 3116f59c12 ("i40e: fix use-after-free in
i40e_sync_filters_subtask()") avoided use-after-free issues,
by increasing refcount during update the VSI filter list to
the HW. However, it missed the unicast situation.

When deleting an unicast FDB entry, the i40e driver will release
the mac_filter, and i40e_service_task will concurrently request
firmware to add the mac_filter, which will lead to the following
use-after-free issue.

Fix again for both netdev->uc and netdev->mc.

62589808d7 i40e: field get conversion
Refactor the i40e driver to use FIELD_GET() for mask and shift reads,
which reduces lines of code and adds clarity of intent.

This code was generated by the following coccinelle/spatch script and
then manually repaired.

While making one of the conversions, an if() check was inverted to
return early and avoid un-necessary indentation of the remainder of the
function. In some other cases a stack variable was moved inside the
block where it was used while doing cleanups/review.

A couple places were changed to use le16_get_bits() instead of FIELD_GET
with a le16_to_cpu combination.

7d9f22b3d3 i40e: Fix unexpected MFS warning message
Commit 3a2c6ced90 ("i40e: Add a check to see if MFS is set") added
a warning message that reports unexpected size of port's MFS (max
frame size) value. This message use for the port number local
variable 'i' that is wrong.
In i40e_probe() this 'i' variable is used only to iterate VSIs
to find FDIR VSI:

<code>
...
/* if FDIR VSI was set up, start it now */
        for (i = 0; i < pf->num_alloc_vsi; i++) {
                if (pf->vsi[i] && pf->vsi[i]->type == I40E_VSI_FDIR) {
                        i40e_vsi_open(pf->vsi[i]);
                        break;
                }
        }
...
</code>

So the warning message use for the port number index of FDIR VSI
if this exists or pf->num_alloc_vsi if not.

Fix the message by using 'pf->hw.port' for the port number.

4a95ce2407 i40e: Remove queue tracking fields from i40e_adminq_ring
Fields 'head', 'tail', 'len', 'bah' and 'bal' in i40e_adminq_ring
are used to store register offsets. These offsets are initialized
and remains constant so there is no need to store them in the
i40e_adminq_ring structure.

Remove these fields from i40e_adminq_ring and use register offset
constants instead. Remove i40e_adminq_init_regs() that originally
stores these constants into these fields.

Finally improve i40e_check_asq_alive() that assumes that
non-zero value of hw->aq.asq.len indicates fully initialized
AdminQ send queue. Replace it by check for non-zero value
of field hw->aq.asq.count that is non-zero when the sending
queue is initialized and is zeroed during shutdown of
the queue.

df19ea6966 i40e: Refactor and rename i40e_read_pba_string()
Function i40e_read_pba_string() is currently unused but will be used
by subsequent patch to provide board ID via devlink device info.

The function reads PBA block from NVM so it cannot be called during
adapter reset and as we would like to provide PBA ID via devlink
info it is better to read the PBA ID during i40e_probe() and cache
it in i40e_hw structure to avoid a waiting for potential adapter
reset in devlink info callback.

So...
- Remove pba_num and pba_num_size arguments from the function,
  allocate resource managed buffer to store PBA ID string and
  save resulting pointer to i40e_hw->pba_id field
- Make the function void as the PBA ID can be missing and in this
  case (or in case of NVM reading failure) the i40e_hw->pba_id
  will be NULL
- Rename the function to i40e_get_pba_string() to align with other
  functions like i40e_get_oem_version() i40e_get_port_mac_addr()...
- Call this function on init during i40e_probe()

7aabde3976 i40e: Split and refactor i40e_nvm_version_str()
The function formats NVM version string according adapter's
EETrackID value. If this value OEM specific (0xffffffff) then
the reported version is with format:
"<gen>.<snap>.<release>"
and in other case
"<nvm_maj>.<nvm_min> <eetrackid> <cvid_maj>.<cvid_bld>.<cvid_min>"

These versions are reported in the subsequent patch in this series
that implements devlink .info_get but separately.

So split the function into separate ones, refactor it to use them
and remove ugly static string buffer.
Additionally convert NVM/OEM version mask macros to use GENMASK and
use FIELD_GET/FIELD_PREP for them in i40e_nvm_version_str() and
i40e_get_oem_version(). This makes code more readable and allows
us to remove related shift macros.

56df345917 i40e: Remove circular header dependencies and fix headers
Similarly as for ice driver [1] there are also circular header
dependencies in i40e driver:
i40e.h -> i40e_virtchnl_pf.h -> i40e.h

Another issue is that i40e header files does not contain their own
dependencies on other header files (both private and standard) so their
inclusion in .c file require to add these deps in certain order to
that .c file to make it compilable.

Fix both issues by removal the mentioned circular dependency, by filling
i40e headers with their dependencies so they can be placed anywhere in
a source code. Additionally remove bunch of includes from i40e.h super
header file that are not necessary and include i40e.h only in .c files
that really require it.

1c9ba9c146 i40e: xsk: add RX multi-buffer support
This patch is inspired from the multi-buffer support in non-zc path for
i40e as well as from the patch to support zc on ice. Each subsequent
frag is added to skb_shared_info of the first frag for possible xdp_prog
use as well to xsk buffer list for accessing the buffers in af_xdp.

For XDP_PASS, new pages are allocated for frags and contents are copied
from memory backed by xsk_buff_pool.

Replace next_to_clean with next_to_process as done in non-zc path and
advance it for every buffer and change the semantics of next_to_clean to
point to the first buffer of a packet. Driver will use next_to_process
in the same way next_to_clean was used previously.

For the non multi-buffer case, next_to_process and next_to_clean will
always be the same since each packet consists of a single buffer.

e213ced19b i40e: add support for XDP multi-buffer Rx
This patch adds multi-buffer support for the i40e_driver.

i40e_clean_rx_irq() is modified to collate all the buffers of a packet
before calling the XDP program. xdp_buff is built for the first frag of
the packet and subsequent frags are added to it. 'next_to_process' is
incremented for all non-EOP frags while 'next_to_clean' stays at the
first descriptor of the packet. XDP program is called only on receiving
EOP frag.

New functions are added for adding frags to xdp_buff and for post
processing of the buffers once the xdp prog has run. For XDP_PASS this
results in a skb with multiple fragments.

i40e_build_skb() builds the skb around xdp buffer that already contains
frags data. So i40e_add_rx_frag() helper function is now removed. Since
fields before 'dataref' in skb_shared_info are cleared during
napi_skb_build(), xdp_update_skb_shared_info() is called to set those.

For i40e_construct_skb(), all the frags data needs to be copied from
xdp_buffer's shared_skb_info to newly constructed skb's shared_skb_info.

This also means 'skb' does not need to be preserved across i40e_napi_poll()
calls and hence is removed from i40e_ring structure.

Previously i40e_alloc_rx_buffers() was called for every 32 cleaned
buffers. For multi-buffers this may not be optimal as there may be more
cleaned buffers in each i40e_clean_rx_irq() call. So this is now called
when at least half of the ring size has been cleaned.

01aa49e31e i40e: add xdp_buff to i40e_ring struct
Store xdp_buff on Rx ring struct in preparation for XDP multi-buffer
support. This will allow us to combine fragmented frames across
separate NAPI cycles in the same way as currently skb fragments are
handled. This means that skb pointer on Rx ring will become redundant
and will be removed in a later patch. As a consequence i40e_trace() now
uses xdp instead of skb pointer.

Truesize only needs to be calculated for page sizes bigger than 4k as it
is always half-page for 4k pages. With xdp_buff on ring, frame size can
now be set during xdp_init_buff() and need not be repopulated in each
NAPI call for 4k pages. As a consequence i40e_rx_frame_truesize() is now
used only for bigger pages.

f7f732a719 i40e: change Rx buffer size for legacy-rx to support XDP multi-buffer
Adding support for XDP multi-buffer entails adding information of all
the fragments of the packet in the xdp_buff. This approach implies that
underlying buffer has to provide tailroom for skb_shared_info.

In the legacy-rx mode, driver can only configure up to 2k sized Rx buffers
and with the current configuration of 2k sized Rx buffers there is no way
to do tailroom reservation for skb_shared_info. Hence size of Rx buffers
is now lowered to 2048 - sizeof(skb_shared_info). Also, driver can only
chain up to 5 Rx buffers and this means max MTU supported for legacy-rx
is now 8614 (5 * rx_buffer_len  - ETH header with VLAN).

a4ba62906d i40e: consolidate maximum frame size calculation for vsi
Introduce new helper function to calculate max frame size for validating
and setting of vsi frame size. This is used while configuring vsi,
changing the MTU and attaching an XDP program to the vsi.

This is in preparation of the legacy rx and multi-buffer changes to be
introduced in later patches.
