6fcfe96e0f selftests/bpf: Add strparser test for bpf
Add test cases for bpf + strparser and separated them from
sockmap_basic, as strparser has more encapsulation and parsing

pull-request: bpf-next 2023-10-16

We've added 90 non-merge commits during the last 25 day(s) which contain
a total of 120 files changed, 3519 insertions(+), 895 deletions(-).

The main changes are:

1) Add missed stats for kprobes to retrieve the number of missed kprobe
executions and subsequent executions of BPF programs, from Jiri Olsa.

2) Add cgroup BPF sockaddr hooks for unix sockets. The use case is
for systemd to reimplement the LogNamespace feature which allows
running multiple instances of systemd-journald to process the logs
of different services, from Daan De Meyer.

3) Implement BPF CPUv4 support for s390x BPF JIT, from Ilya Leoshkevich.

4) Improve BPF verifier log output for scalar registers to better
disambiguate their internal state wrt defaults vs min/max values
   matching, from Andrii Nakryiko.

5) Extend the BPF fib lookup helpers for IPv4/IPv6 to support retrieving
the source IP address with a new BPF_FIB_LOOKUP_SRC flag,
   from Martynas Pumputis.

6) Add support for open-coded task_vma iterator to help with symbolization
for BPF-collected user stacks, from Dave Marchevsky.

7) Add libbpf getters for accessing individual BPF ring buffers which
is useful for polling them individually, for example, from Martin Kelly.

8) Extend AF_XDP selftests to validate the SHARED_UMEM feature,
   from Tushar Vyavahare.

9) Improve BPF selftests cross-building support for riscv arch,
   from Björn Töpel.

10) Add the ability to pin a BPF timer to the same calling CPU,
   from David Vernet.

11) Fix libbpf's bpf_tracing.h macros for riscv to use the generic
implementation of PT_REGS_SYSCALL_REGS() to access syscall arguments,
   from Alexandre Ghiti.

12) Extend libbpf to support symbol versioning for uprobes, from Hengqi Chen.

13) Fix bpftool's skeleton code generation to guarantee that ELF data
is 8 byte aligned, from Ian Rogers.

14) Inherit system-wide cpu_mitigations_off() setting for Spectre v1/v4
security mitigations in BPF verifier, from Yafang Shao.

15) Annotate struct bpf_stack_map with __counted_by attribute to prepare
BPF side for upcoming __counted_by compiler support, from Kees Cook.

80e24d2226 bpf, sockmap: Test FIONREAD returns correct bytes in rx buffer with drops
When BPF program drops pkts the sockmap logic 'eats' the packet and
updates copied_seq. In the PASS case where the sk_buff is accepted
we update copied_seq from recvmsg path so we need a new test to
handle the drop case.

Original patch series broke this resulting in

test_sockmap_skb_verdict_fionread:PASS:ioctl(FIONREAD) error 0 nsec
test_sockmap_skb_verdict_fionread:FAIL:ioctl(FIONREAD) unexpected ioctl(FIONREAD): actual 1503041772 != expected 256

bad2e478af selftests/bpf: Turn on libbpf 1.0 mode and fix all IS_ERR checks
Turn ony libbpf 1.0 mode. Fix all the explicit IS_ERR checks that now will be
broken because libbpf returns NULL on error (and sets errno). Fix
ASSERT_OK_PTR and ASSERT_ERR_PTR to work for both old mode and new modes and
use them throughout selftests. This is trivial to do by using
libbpf_get_error() API that all libbpf users are supposed to use, instead of
IS_ERR checks.

A bunch of checks also did explicit -1 comparison for various fd-returning
APIs. Such checks are replaced with >= 0 or < 0 cases.

There were also few misuses of bpf_object__find_map_by_name() in test_maps.

9cacf81f81 bpf: Remove extra lock_sock for TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE
Add custom implementation of getsockopt hook for TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE.
We skip generic hooks for TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE and have a custom
call in do_tcp_getsockopt using the on-stack data. This removes
3% overhead for locking/unlocking the socket.

Without this patch:

When using -Werror=missing-braces, compiler complains about missing braces.
Let's use use ={} initialization which should do the job:

5b87adc3ce selftest: bpf: Test copying a sockmap and sockhash
Since we can now call map_update_elem(sockmap) from bpf_iter context
it's possible to copy a sockmap or sockhash in the kernel. Add a
selftest which exercises this.

The shared header to define SOCKMAP_MAX_ENTRIES is a bit overkill.
Dynamically allocate the sock_fd array based on bpf_map__max_entries
instead.

bb23c0e1c5 selftests: bpf: Test sockmap update from BPF
Add a test which copies a socket from a sockmap into another sockmap
or sockhash. This excercises bpf_map_update_elem support from BPF
context. Compare the socket cookies from source and destination to
ensure that the copy succeeded.

Also check that the verifier rejects map_update from unsafe contexts.

1d9c037a89 bpf, selftests: Add sk_msg helpers load and attach test
The test itself is not particularly useful but it encodes a common
pattern we have.

Namely do a sk storage lookup then depending on data here decide if
we need to do more work or alternatively allow packet to PASS. Then
if we need to do more work consult task_struct for more information
about the running task. Finally based on this additional information
drop or pass the data. In this case the suspicious check is not so
realisitic but it encodes the general pattern and uses the helpers
so we test the workflow.

This is a load test to ensure verifier correctly handles this case.

f2e97dc126 bpf: Selftests build error in sockmap_basic.c
Fix following build error. We could push a tcp.h header into one of the
include paths, but I think its easy enough to simply pull in the three
defines we need here. If we end up using more of tcp.h at some point
we can pull it in later.

/home/john/git/bpf/tools/testing/selftests/bpf/prog_tests/sockmap_basic.c: In function ‘connected_socket_v4’:
/home/john/git/bpf/tools/testing/selftests/bpf/prog_tests/sockmap_basic.c:20:11: error: ‘TCP_REPAIR_ON’ undeclared (first use in this function)

5d3919a953 selftests/bpf: Test freeing sockmap/sockhash with a socket in it
Commit 7e81a35302 ("bpf: Sockmap, ensure sock lock held during tear
down") introduced sleeping issues inside RCU critical sections and while
holding a spinlock on sockmap/sockhash tear-down. There has to be at least
one socket in the map for the problem to surface.

This adds a test that triggers the warnings for broken locking rules. Not a
fix per se, but rather tooling to verify the accompanying fixes. Run on a
VM with 1 vCPU to reproduce the warnings.
