1b294a1f35 Networking changes for 6.10.
Core & protocols

  - Complete rework of garbage collection of AF_UNIX sockets.
    AF_UNIX is prone to forming reference count cycles due to fd passing
    functionality. New method based on Tarjan's Strongly Connected Components
    algorithm should be both faster and remove a lot of workarounds
    we accumulated over the years.
 
  - Add TCP fraglist GRO support, allowing chaining multiple TCP packets
    and forwarding them together. Useful for small switches / routers which
    lack basic checksum offload in some scenarios (e.g. PPPoE).
 
  - Support using SMP threads for handling packet backlog i.e. packet
    processing from software interfaces and old drivers which don't
    use NAPI. This helps move the processing out of the softirq jumble.
 
  - Continue work of converting from rtnl lock to RCU protection.

486ffc33c2 net: qede: flower: validate control flags
This driver currently doesn't support any control flags.

Use flow_rule_match_has_control_flags() to check for control flags,
such as can be set through `tc flower ... ip_flags frag`.

In case any control flags are masked, flow_rule_match_has_control_flags()
sets a NL extended error message, and we return -EOPNOTSUPP.

Only compile-tested.

eb705d7345 net: qede: use faked extack in qede_flow_spec_to_rule()
Since qede_parse_flow_attr() now does error reporting
through extack, then give it a fake extack and extract the
error message afterwards if one was set.

The extracted error message is then passed on through
DP_NOTICE(), including messages that was earlier issued
with DP_INFO().

This fake extack approach is already used by
mlxsw_env_linecard_modules_power_mode_apply() in
drivers/net/ethernet/mellanox/mlxsw/core_env.c

Only compile tested.

with READ_ONCE() annotations.

basic action hw stats type") broke the implicit
assumption that it could only fail with -EINVAL,

stats are requested.

However AFAICT it's not possible to trigger
qede_parse_actions() to return -EOPNOTSUPP, when
called from qede_flow_spec_to_rule(), as hardware
stats can't be requested by ethtool_rx_flow_rule_create().

This patch changes qede_flow_spec_to_rule() to use
the actual return code from qede_parse_actions(),
so it's no longer assumed that all errors are -EINVAL.

clang complains that the temporary string for the name passed into
alloc_workqueue() is too short for its contents:

drivers/net/ethernet/qlogic/qed/qed_main.c:1218:3: error: 'snprintf' will always be truncated; specified size is 16, but format string expands to at least 18 [-Werror,-Wformat-truncation]

There is no need for a temporary buffer, and the actual name of a workqueue
is 32 bytes (WQ_NAME_LEN), so just use the interface as intended to avoid
the truncation.

We expect slowpath_params.name to be NUL-terminated based on its future
usage with other string APIs:

d80a523353 ethtool: replace struct ethtool_eee with a new struct ethtool_keee on kernel side
In order to pass EEE link modes beyond bit 32 to userspace we have to
complement the 32 bit bitmaps in struct ethtool_eee with linkmode
bitmaps. Therefore, similar to ethtool_link_settings and
ethtool_link_ksettings, add a struct ethtool_keee. In a first step
it's an identical copy of ethtool_eee. This patch simply does a
s/ethtool_eee/ethtool_keee/g for all users.
No functional change intended.

fb6e30a725 net: ethtool: pass a pointer to parameters to get/set_rxfh ethtool ops
The get/set_rxfh ethtool ops currently takes the rxfh (RSS) parameters
as direct function arguments. This will force us to change the API (and
all drivers' functions) every time some new parameters are added.

This is part 1/2 of the fix, as suggested in [1]:

- First simplify the code by always providing a pointer to all params
   (indir, key and func); the fact that some of them may be NULL seems
   like a weird historic thing or a premature optimization.
   It will simplify the drivers if all pointers are always present.

 - Then make the functions take a dev pointer, and a pointer to a
   single struct wrapping all arguments. The set_* should also take
   an extack.

b65d52ac9c qed: Fix a potential use-after-free in qed_cxt_tables_alloc
qed_ilt_shadow_alloc() will call qed_ilt_shadow_free() to
free p_hwfn->p_cxt_mngr->ilt_shadow on error. However,
qed_cxt_tables_alloc() accesses the freed pointer on failure
of qed_ilt_shadow_alloc() through calling qed_cxt_mngr_free(),
which may lead to use-after-free. Fix this issue by setting
p_mngr->ilt_shadow to NULL in qed_ilt_shadow_free().

f8dd2412ba qlcnic: replace deprecated strncpy with strscpy
strncpy() is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings
[1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string
interfaces.

We expect fw_info->fw_file_name to be NUL-terminated based on its use
within _request_firmware_prepare() wherein `name` refers to it:

the fact that it guarantees NUL-termination on the destination buffer
without unnecessarily NUL-padding.

a02527363a qed: replace uses of strncpy
strncpy() is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings
[1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string
interfaces.

This patch eliminates three uses of strncpy():

Firstly, `dest` is expected to be NUL-terminated which is evident by the
manual setting of a NUL-byte at size - 1. For this use specifically,
strscpy() is a viable replacement due to the fact that it guarantees
NUL-termination on the destination buffer.

The next two cases should simply be memcpy() as the size of the src
string is always 3 and the destination string just wants the first 3
bytes changed.

To be clear, there are no buffer overread bugs in the current code as
the sizes and offsets are carefully managed such that buffers are
NUL-terminated. However, with these changes, the code is now more robust
and less ambiguous (and hopefully easier to read).

The flexible structure (a structure that contains a flexible-array member
at the end) `qed_ll2_tx_packet` is nested within the second layer of
`struct qed_ll2_info`:

an implicit flexible structure, which by definition ends in a flexible
array member, in this case `bds_set`. This causes an undefined behavior
bug at run-time when dynamic memory is allocated for `bds_set`, which
could lead to a serious issue if `cbs` in `struct qed_ll2_info` is
overwritten by the contents of `bds_set`. Notice that the type of `cbs`
is a structure full of function pointers (and a cookie :) ):
