In "ipa_cmd.h", ipa_cmd_data_valid() is declared, but that function
does not exist. So delete that declaration.
Also, for some reason ipa_cmd_init() never gets called. It isn't
really critical--it just validates that some memory offsets and a
size can be represented in some register fields, and they won't fail
with current data. Regardless, call the function in ipa_probe().

Currently, enabling wakeup for the IPA device doesn't occur until
the setup phase of initialization (in ipa_power_setup()).
There is no need to delay doing that, however. We can conveniently
do it during the config phase, in ipa_interrupt_config(), where we
enable power management wakeup mode for the IPA interrupt.
Moving the device_init_wakeup() out of ipa_power_setup() leaves that
function empty, so it can just be eliminated.
Similarly, rearrange all of the matching inverse calls, disabling
device wakeup in ipa_interrupt_deconfig() and removing that function
as well.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

IPA register definitions have evolved with each new version. The
changes required to support more than 32 endpoints in IPA v5.0 made
it best to define a unified mechanism for defining registers and
their fields.
GSI register definitions, meanwhile, have remained fairly stable.
And even as the total number of IPA endpoints goes beyond 32, the
number of GSI channels on a given EE that underly endpoints still
remains 32 or less.
Despite that, GSI v3.0 (which is used with IPA v5.0) extends the
number of channels (and events) it supports to be about 256, and as
a result, many GSI register definitions must change significantly.
To address this, we'll use the same "ipa_reg" mechanism to define
the GSI registers.
As a first step in generalizing the "ipa_reg" to also support GSI
registers, isolate the definitions of the "ipa_reg" and "ipa_regs"
structure types (and some supporting macros) into a new header file,
and remove the "ipa_" and "IPA_" from symbol names.
Separate the IPA register ID validity checking from the generic
check that a register ID is in range. Aside from that, this is
intended to have no functional effect on the code.

The AP has third pulse generator available starting with IPA v5.0.
Redefine ipa_qtime_val() to support that possibility. Pass the IPA
pointer as an argument so the version can be determined. And stop
using the sign of the returned tick count to indicate which of two
pulse generators to use.
Instead, have the caller provide the address of a variable that will
hold the selected pulse generator for the Qtime value. And for
version 5.0, check whether the third pulse generator best represents
the time period.
Add code in ipa_qtime_config() to configure the fourth pulse
generator for IPA v5.0+; in that case configure both the third and
fourth pulse generators to use 10 msec granularity.

Introduce a new way of specifying how the GSI firmware gets loaded
for IPA. Currently, this is indicated by the presence or absence of
the Boolean "modem-init" Device Tree property. The new property
must have a value--either "self" or "modem"--which indicates whether
the AP or modem is the GSI firmware loader, respectively.
For legacy systems, the new property will not exist, and the
"modem-init" property will be used. For newer systems, the
"qcom,gsi-loader" property *must* exist, and must have one of the
two prescribed values. It is an error to have both properties
defined, and it is an error for the new property to have an
unrecognized value.

Prior to IPA v5.0, there could be no more than 32 endpoints.
A filter table begins with a bitmap indicating which endpoints have
a filter defined. That bitmap is currently assumed to fit in a
32-bit value.
Starting with IPA v5.0, more than 32 endpoints are supported, so
it's conceivable that a TX endpoint has an ID that exceeds 32.
Increase the size of the field representing endpoints that support
filtering to 64 bits. Rename the bitmap field "filtered".
Unlike other similar fields, we do not use an (arbitrarily long)
Linux bitmap for this purpose. The reason is that if a filter table
ever *did* need to support more than 64 TX endpoints, its format
would change in ways we can't anticipate.
Have ipa_endpoint_init() return a negative errno rather than a mask
that indicates which endpoints support filtering, and have that
function assign the "filtered" field directly.

unrelated to ipa_modem_stop(). Given that, it seems fitting to get
rid of ipa_modem_init() and ipa_modem_exit() (which are trivial
wrapper functions), and call ipa_smp2p_init() and ipa_smp2p_exit()
directly instead.

The IPA setup_complete flag is set at the end of ipa_setup(), when
the setup phase of initialization has completed successfully. This
occurs as part of driver probe processing, or (if "modem-init" is
specified in the DTS file) it is triggered by the "ipa-setup-ready"
SMP2P interrupt generated by the modem.
In the latter case, it's possible for driver shutdown (or remove) to
begin while setup processing is underway, and this can't be allowed.
The problem is that the setup_complete flag is not adequate to signal
that setup is underway.
If setup_complete is set, it will never be un-set, so that case is
not a problem. But if setup_complete is false, there's a chance
setup is underway.
Because setup is triggered by an interrupt on a "modem-init" system,
there is a simple way to ensure the value of setup_complete is safe
to read. The threaded handler--if it is executing--will complete as
part of a request to disable the "ipa-modem-ready" interrupt. This
means that ipa_setup() (which is called from the handler) will run
to completion if it was underway, or will never be called otherwise.
The request to disable the "ipa-setup-ready" interrupt is currently
made within ipa_modem_stop(). Instead, disable the interrupt
outside that function in the two places it's called. In the case of
ipa_remove(), this ensures the setup_complete flag is safe to read
before we read it.
Rename ipa_smp2p_disable() to be ipa_smp2p_irq_disable_setup(), to be
more specific about its effect.

Finally, rename "ipa_clock.c" to be "ipa_power.c" and "ipa_clock.h"
to be "ipa_power.h".
