Some platforms such as SC7280 have 3 CSIDs and 2 CSID-lites but current

Right now we use fixed indexes to assign power-domains, with a
requirement for the TOP GDSC to come last in the list.
Adding support for named power-domains means the declaration in the dtsi
can come in any order.
After this change we continue to support the old indexing - if a SoC
resource declaration or the in-use dtb doesn't declare power-domain names
we fall back to the default legacy indexing.
From this point on though new SoC additions should contain named
power-domains, eventually we will drop support for legacy indexing.

Moving the location of the hooks to VFE power domains has several
advantages.
1. Separation of concerns and functional decomposition.
vfe.c should be responsible for and know best how manage
power-domains for a VFE, excising from camss.c follows this
principle.
2. Embedding a pointer to genpd in struct camss_vfe{} meas that we can
dispense with a bunch of kmalloc array inside of camss.c.
3. Splitting up titan top gdsc from vfe/ife gdsc provides a base for
breaking up magic indexes in dtsi.

At the moment we have some complex code for determining if a VFE requires a
power-domain attachment. Particularly discordant in this scheme is the
subtle reliance on VFE and VFE Lite declaration ordering in our resources.
VFE id is used to determine if a VFE is lite or not and consequently if a
VFE requires power-domain attachment. VFE Lite though is not a correct
delineation between power-domain and non power-domain state since early
SoCs have neither VFE Lite nor power-domains attached to VFEs.
Introduce has_pd to the VFE resource structure to allow the CAMSS code to
understand if it needs to try to attach a power-domain for a given VFE.
As a side-effect from this we no longer need to care about VFE Lite or
non-Lite or the id number associated with either and which order the
VFE/VFE Lite was declared in.

Each Video Front End - VFE - has a variable number of Raw Data Interfaces -
RDIs associated with it.
The CAMSS code started from a naive implementation where a fixed define was
used as a control in a for(){} loop iterating through RDIs.
That model scales badly. An attempt was made with VFE_LINE_NUM_GEN2 and
VFE_LINE_NUM_GEN1 to differentiate between SoCs but, the problem with that
is "gen1" and "gen2" have no meaning in the silicon. There is no fixed
constraint in the silicon between VFE and RDI, it is entirely up to the SoC
designers how many VFEs are populated and how many RDIs to associate with
each VFE.
As an example sdm845 has VFE version 175 and sm8250 VFE version 480.
sdm845 has 2 VFEs with 4 RDIs and 1 VFE Lite with 4 RDIs.
sm8250 has 2 VFEs with 3 RDIs and 2 VFE Lite with 4 RDIs.
Clearly then we need a more granular model to capture the necessary data.
The defines have gone away to be replaced with per-SoC data but, we haven't
populated the parameter data with the real values.
Let's call those values out now

This more complex and correct mapping was not possible prior to passing
values via driver data. Now that we have that change in place we can
correctly map VFEs to RDIs for each VFE.

It is possible to pass all of the CAMSS subdevice internal operations
pointers from the controlling resources structure with an additional
pointer added to the resources structure.
This allows for the removal of most of the probe-time control structures.

line_num indicates the number of RDI - raw data interface channels which
are associated with a given IFE/VFE - image/video front end.
On several SoCs the RDI number is not static for each VFE - for example
on sm8250 VFE Lite has four RDIs where regular VFE has three.
Assigning line_num statically in the subdev_init() phase initialises
each VFE to the lower number, meaning in practical terms that we are
lobbing off one RDI on some VFEs.
Interrupt handling uses static for (i = RDI0; i < RDI2; i++) {} in some
of our VFE blocks but this can't work for situations where we have a
mixture of VFE @ 3 RDI and VFE-lite @ 4 RDI blocks.
First step to remediate is to pass line_num from a compat string
controlled data-structure and do so on a per-VFE basis.
Later patches will assign the correct number of RDI blocks per VFE.

The following variables are being assigned statically based on
compatible strings in the probe path.
* enum camss_version version;
* unsigned int csiphy_num;
* unsigned int csid_num;
* unsigned int vfe_num;
* unsigned int vfe_lite_num;
* unsigned int vfe_total_num;
Migrate those variables to resource parameters passed in on platform
probe arguments. The one caveat is for VFE it has been necessary to
intoduce a new variable vfe_total_num to capture the aggregate value of
vfe_num + vfe_lite_num.
All the rest of the changes are rote camss->variable to
camss->res->variable with the parameter tables now populating the listed
variables.

There is a lot of unnecessary if/elsing in this code that arguably
should never have made it upstream when adding a second let alone
subsequent SoC.
I'm guilty of not fixing the mess myself when adding in the sm8250.
Before adding in any new SoCs or resources lets take the time to cleanup
the resource passing.
First step is to pass the generic struct camss_resources as a parameter
per the compatible list.
Subsequent patches will address the other somewhat disparate strutures
which we are also doing if/else on and assigning statically.

Rename non-specific struct resources {} to struct camss_subdev_resources {}
Each logical block in CAMSS has a number of regulators, clocks and resets
associated with it. We represent these blocks as v4l subdevices.
The name "struct camss_subdev_resources" is a more descriptive and accurate
name.

There is no good reason to differentiate the two resource structures
here. As part of a general tidyup of the declaration and passing of
resources within in the CAMSS driver it will be advantageous to have
one unified resource structure.
The two structures are very similar anyway thus leading more credence
still to the argument there should be only one.

Add a routine to be reused for this purpose and appropriate jumps in
probe() to run that routine where necessary.

Previously the jump label err_cleanup was used higher in the probe()
function to release the async notifier however the async notifier
registration was moved later in the code rendering the previous four jumps
redundant.
Rename the label from err_cleanup to err_v4l2_device_unregister to capture
what the jump does.

We need to make sure camss_configure_pd() happens before
camss_register_entities() as the vfe_get() path relies on the pointer
provided by camss_configure_pd().
Fix the ordering sequence in probe to ensure the pointers vfe_get() demands
are present by the time camss_register_entities() runs.
In order to facilitate backporting to stable kernels I've moved the
configure_pd() call pretty early on the probe() function so that
irrespective of the existence of the old error handling jump labels this
patch should still apply to -next circa Aug 2023 to v5.13 inclusive.

Set the v4l2_device already in async notifier init, so struct device
related to it will be available before the notifier is registered. This
requires separating notifier initialisation into two functions, one that
takes v4l2_device as its argument, v4l2_async_nf_init and
v4l2_async_subdev_nf_init, for sub-device notifiers. Registering the
notifier will use a single function, v4l2_async_nf_register.
This is done in order to make struct device available earlier, during
construction of the async connections, for sensible debug prints.

Initialise V4L2 async notifier and parse DT for async sub-devices later,
just before registering the notifier. This way the device can be made
available to the V4L2 async framework from the notifier init time onwards.
A subsequent patch will add struct v4l2_device as an argument to
v4l2_async_nf_init().

Rename v4l2_async_subdev as v4l2_async_connection, in order to
differentiate between the sub-devices and their connections: one
sub-device can have many connections but the V4L2 async framework has so
far allowed just a single one. Connections in this context will later
translate into either MC ancillary or data links.
This patch prepares changing that relation by changing existing users of
v4l2_async_subdev to switch to v4l2_async_connection. Async sub-devices
themselves will not be needed anymore
Additionally, __v4l2_async_nf_add_subdev() has been renamed
__v4l2_async_nf_add_connection().

For multiple virtual channels support, each VFE line can be in either
ON, RESERVED or OFF states. This allows the starting and stopping
of a VFE line independently of other active VFE lines (e.g. already-
running lines stay in ON state, and newly-added lines are RESERVED)
Also, link the CSID entity's source ports to corresponding VFE lines.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

There are three cases of power domain management on supported platforms:
1) CAMSS on MSM8916, where a single VFE power domain is operated outside
of the camss device driver,
2) CAMSS on MSM8996 and SDM630/SDM660, where two VFE power domains are
managed separately by the camss device driver, the power domains are
linked and unlinked on demand by their functions vfe_pm_domain_on()
and vfe_pm_domain_off() respectively,
3) CAMSS on SDM845 and SM8250 platforms, and there are two VFE power
domains and their parent power domain TITAN_TOP, the latter one
shall be turned on prior to turning on any of VFE power domains.
Due to a previously missing link between TITAN_TOP and VFEx power domains
in the latter case, which is now fixed by [1], it was decided always to
turn on all found VFE power domains and TITAN_TOP power domain, even if
just one particular VFE is needed to be enabled or none of VFE power
domains are required, for instance the latter case is when vfe_lite is in
use. This misusage becomes more incovenient and clumsy, if next generations
are to be supported, for instance CAMSS on SM8450 has three VFE power
domains.
The change splits the power management support for platforms with TITAN_TOP
parent power domain, and, since 'power-domain-names' property is not
present in camss device tree nodes, the assumption is that the first
N power domains from the 'power-domains' list correspond to VFE power
domains, and, if the number of power domains is greater than number of
non-lite VFEs, then the last power domain from the list is the TITAN_TOP
power domain.

VFE lite IPs are found on CAMSS with TITAN_TOP power domains, and in
some aspects these types of VFEs are different, in particular there
is no need to enable VFE power domains to operate over VFE lite IPs.

The change to dynamically allocated power domains neglected a case of
CAMSS on MSM8916 platform, where a single VFE power domain is neither
attached, linked or managed in runtime in any way explicitly.
This is a special case and it shall be kept as is, because the power
domain management is done outside of the driver, and it's very different
in comparison to all other platforms supported by CAMSS.

To simplify the driver's maintenance it makes sense to escape from
hardcoded numbers of power domain resources per platform and statical
allocation of the resources. For instance on a QCOM SM8450 platform
the number of CAMSS power domains shall be bumped up to 6, also notably
CAMSS on MSM8916 has only one power domain, however it expects to get 2,
and thus it should result in a runtime error on driver probe.
The change fixes an issue mentioned above and gives more flexibility
to support more platforms in future.

Other PHYs such as the UFS, PCIe and USB connect to these rails and define
each regulator individually.
This means if we were to switch off the other various PHYs which enable
these rails, the CAMSS would not appropriately power-on the CSI PHY.

Add the ability to enable or disable multiple regulators in bulk with
camss. This is useful for sm8250, sdm845 and it looks like sdm660 where we
have more than one CSI regulator to do at once.
It should just work for standalone existing vdda regulators and parts which
don't have an explicitly defined CSI regulator.

To prepare for usage of the v4l2_fwnode_bus_* data structures to
describe bus configuration in the subdev .get_mbus_config() operation,
rename the structures with a v4l2_mbus_config_ prefix instead of
v4l2_fwnode_bus_, and move them to v4l2_mediabus.h.

Downstream makes some pretty explicit comments about voting for bus
bandwidth prior to camcc_camnoc_axi_clk_src. Working with camx downstream
also shows that the bandwidth vote is required to get that root clock
working.
Add a simple mechanism to declare set and unset named NOCs. Whereas the
objective is to enable the sm8250 specifically the code has been
implemented to allow setting of whatever NOCs different SoCs using this
driver may require.

The Titan 480 camss found on SM8250 has 6 CSIPHY and 4 VFE/CSID.
CSID is compatible with the Titan 170 CSID, but the Titan 480 CSID are
inside the VFE region (between the "top" and "bus" registers), so a
workaround is added to avoid ioremap failure.

Rename V4L2 async notifier functions, replacing "notifier" with "nf" and
removing "_subdev" at the end of the function names adding subdevs as you
can only add subdevs to a notifier. Also wrap and otherwise clean up long
lines.

For Titan ISPs clocks fail to re-enable during vfe_get()
after any vfe has been halted and its corresponding power
domain power has been detached.
Since all of the clocks depend on all of the PDs, per
VFE PD detaching is no option for Gen2 HW.
In order to not have regressions on for Gen1 HW, refactor
the power domain management into hardware version specific
code paths.

Add register definitions for version 170 of the Titan architecture
and implement support for the RDI output mode.
The RDI mode as opposed to the PIX output mode for the VFE unit does
not support any ISP functionality. This means essentially only
supporting dumping the output of the whatever the CSI decoder receives
from the sensor.
For example will a sensor outputting YUV pixel format frames, only
allow the VFE to dump those frames as they are received by the ISP
to memory through the RDI interface.

In order to support Qualcomm ISP hardware architectures that diverge
from older architectures, the VFE subdevice driver needs to be refactored
to better abstract the different ISP architectures.
Gen1 represents the CAMSS ISP architecture. The ISP architecture developed
after CAMSS, Titan, will be referred to as Gen2.

This driver supports multiple architecture versions of the Qualcomm ISP.
The CAMSS architecure which this driver is name after, and with the
introduction of this series, the Titan architecture.
The ISPIF is an IP-block that is only present in the CAMSS generation of
the architecture. In order to support the Titan generation, make the
ISPIF an optional subdevice.

Because of u32 type being used to store pixel clock rate, expression used
to calculate pipeline clocks (pixel_clock * bpp) produces wrong value due
to integer overflow. This patch changes data type used to store, pass and
retrieve pixel_clock from u32 to u64 to make this mistake less likely to
be repeated in the future.

There are places in the camss driver where camss_get_pixel_clock() is
called to get the pixel rate (using V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE control) and to
calculate the link frequency from it. There is a case when this would
not work: when V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE gets the rate at which the pixels are
read (sampled) from the sensor's pixel array, and this rate is different
from the pixel transmission rate over the CSI link, the link frequency
value can't be calculated from the pixel rate. One needs to use
V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ to get the link frequency in this case.
Replace such calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() with calls to a wrapper
around v4l2_get_link_freq(). v4l2_get_link_freq() tries V4L2_CID_LINK_FREQ
first, and if it is not implemented by the camera sensor driver, falls
back to V4L2_CID_PIXEL_RATE to calculate the link frequency value from.
Calls to camss_get_pixel_clock() from vfe_[check,set]_clock_rates()
are left intact as it looks like this VFE clock does depend on the
rate the pixel samples comes out of the camera sensor, not on the
frequency at which the link between the sensor and the CSI receiver
operates.

The functions that add an async subdev to an async subdev notifier take
as an argument the size of the container structure they need to
allocate. This is error prone, as passing an invalid size will not be
caught by the compiler. Wrap those functions in macros that take a
container type instead of a size, and cast the returned pointer to the
desired type. The compiler will catch mistakes if the incorrect type is
passed to the macro, as the assignment types won't match.

Add support for the Qualcomm SDM630/636/660 and SDA variants' camera
subsystem. These SoCs are equipped with:
- 3x CSI PHY 3-Phase v1.0 (downstream csiphy-v3.5)
- 4x CSID v5.0
- 2x ISPIF v3.0
- 2x VFE 4.8
As a note, this camera subsystem is very similar to the one that
is found in the MSM8998/APQ8098 SoCs.

Use vb2_video_unregister_device() to automatically stop streaming
at unregister time.
This avoids the use of vb2_queue_release() which should not be
called by drivers that set vdev->queue.
